A fleet of 8 purpose built 'Fundraising Display Vehicles' for Guide Dogs for the Blind may soon be visiting a town near you. The vehicles were commissioned to help raise the profile and awareness of Guide Dogs and also to assist in fundraising activities.
Each of the 3,500 kgs motorised vehicles have Torton's unique wing displays to maximise impact and raised canopy and are equipped with a generator, LCD television, seating, storage, and literature display areas. Entrance to the glazed area is via steps and a handrail.
The vehicles will be sent out to each of the regional fund raising areas throughout the UK and Northern Ireland and will be utilised at local community events which will include large national shows, smaller regional events, schools and for street collections in towns and cities.
"This is a new initiative for Guide Dogs. The Fundraising vehicles will give us greater impact at events and at street collections and will undoubtedly contribute to an increase in fund raising and awareness of the vital work we carry out," Stuart Wilson, Head of Regional Fundraising, Guide Dogs for the Blind.
