Torton Bodies beat off stiff competition and won the contract to design and build one motorised display vehicle and two 12m artics for the forthcoming Jacuzzi® Hot Tub Showman’s tour across Europe.
Jacuzzi® UK has run a European tour for the past 3 years using an original Torton show trailer but now plan to extend this tour European wide to Italy, France, Germany and Scandinavia. The motorised 5.8 m, 4.5 tonne was designed and built to showcase the new range of hot tubs – indeed inside there is a hot tub on display as well as storage, literature displays and worktops. A tow hitch on the rear of the vehicle allows for a further hot tub to be towed to events and this is used as a fully working demonstration unit.
The 12 metre artic incorporates a slide out extension pod in addition to the lift up canopy and drop down entrance floor balcony. Inside there are 2 demonstration Jacuzzi® models and one working demonstration model. Entrance is via steps or ramp and is through glazed doors. All units benefit from TV and roof mounted air conditioning units with power supplied by a generator neatly concealed in an acoustically insulated external access locker incorporated into the design. The units also feature Torton’s display wings which maximise the branding impact with strong graphics. Pop up free standing awning structures complement the units.
Duncan Simcox, Commercial Director of Jacuzzi® stated: “We are delighted with the exhibition units Torton has designed and built for us. The innovative design and the quality workmanship of the units truly reflect our own super brand principles.”
