Lingen Davies Cancer Fund chose Torton to supply their very first mobile awareness vehicle, which hit the roads this week.
A fully self-contained mobile display vehicle was the obvious choice, as they look to further expand their LiveLife cancer prevention work. As a charity they have been supporting and enhancing services for patients at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital's Lingen Davies Cancer Centre for more than 40 years, but now with their new set of wheels, they can reach the wider community throughout mid Wales and Shropshire.
The mobile awareness vehicle was designed so any of the staff with a standard driving licence could jump in and drive, making it a really flexible asset for them. A built-in generator, warm air heating, air conditioning plus many more features were all installed to make the vehicle as comfortable as possible for staff and the public alike.
The large solid canopy to the display side of the vehicle provides shelter from the elements both rain and sun. It also provides a great opportunity to display the charity name at high level so everyone can see. The front and rear display wings provide a perfect place to display their messages and explain to the public what it is they do.
Easy to set up and ready to go in under 10 minutes, the vehicle has already been out and about, in the county talking to people and making a difference.
Generously donated by a local business, this is a great example of local businesses helping, local charities.
Keep an eye out for it on the roads......See more examples and images here.
